Teenager arrested for beating his employer over delay in payment of salary
A 19-year-old employee, John Edward, was on Tuesday arraigned in Lagos
for beating up his employer over delay in the payment of salary.
The accused, whose address was not stated in court, is facing a
four-count charge of assault, conspiracy and malicious damage before an
Ikeja Magistrate’s Court.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) ,the Prosecutor, Mr.
Ishola Samuel, told the court that the accused committed the offences on
September 1 at Olusoji Idowu Street, Ilupeju, Lagos.
Nigeria Sues Shell Companies For $407m For Oil Export Fraud.
The federal government of Nigeria has sued Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited and its allied Shell Western Supply & Trading Limited for nearly $407 million as part of its battle to recover all monies siphoned through undeclared/under-declared lifting of the nation’s crude oil. The government says $406,751,070 is the total sum of the missing revenues from the shortfall/undeclared/under-declared crude oil shipments of the government, including interest on the money.
Nurse nabbed for drugging, raping patient in Lagos
A 27-year-old male nurse, Olugbenga Isaac, was on Tuesday arraigned in
an Ikeja Magistrates’ court in Lagos for allegedly drugging and raping a
19-year-old girl, a Isaac, a resident of Ajah area of Lagos is being
tried for rape.
The prosecutor, Insp. Clifford Ogu, told the court that the accused
committed the offence on Sept.15 at Onipanu, Lagos.He said that the
accused unlawfully had sexual intercourse with the 19-year-old girl.
